We didn’t have to hurry to get on our way today as we were only heading a little way up the highway to Sawtell or so we thought. As we had plenty of time, we stopped off at a shopping centre to replenish our stocks before heading to Sawtell. We arrived at the Big 4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park and I went to the reception to check in. The young woman said she had no bookings under our name so I went out to tell Rob and sent him in. We were a little bit panicky as our friend; Pat was arriving tomorrow and had booked a cabin at this park so we could explore this beautiful area together. Anyway, Rob found out that he had actually booked the Big 4 Beach Holiday Park……that was located down the road a bit at Coffs Harbour. We could not get a site at Sawtell for the night but once we arrived at the Coffs Harbour caravan park, the young woman at the reception desk was extremely helpful and was able to book us in to Sawtell from tomorrow night onwards. She said that we weren’t the first people that this had happened to and that the swapping of parks was easy to do if Sawtell had sites available, because both the parks were Big 4 parks. Anyway, we are happy that everything has worked out without too many alterations to our plans. Rob spent the afternoon visiting Bunnings and other places while I did some washing.
