It was time for us to head over to the coast and the weather started to deteriorate the closer we got. The coast of NSW had bad flooding in many places two weeks ago. The weather forecasters predicted the rain today and for the next few days but said it would not be as bad as what it was two weeks ago. We noticed on the drive; there was a lot of water lying around as well as major road works in many places. The drive was very interesting and, in several places, we drove through in national parks with beautiful rainforests (including the rain). We stopped at Singleton for coffee. The coffee was excellent, but I really like the name of the café, The Naughty Corner! We are staying at Sandbar and Bushland Holiday Park, located on the banks of Smiths Lake and adjacent to the ocean. If the weather improves, we will investigate our surroundings. There is also a golf course next door but it is closed at the moment due to the weather. I was hoping to have a kayak here but I doubt that will happen. We have beautiful bushland around us and several kookaburras have kept us entertained. We also saw a dingo just sitting and watching the world go by as we drove in.
