Once again there was no need to rush to our next stop, as it was only an hour and ½ drive from North Haven. Along the way we called into Port Macquarie for a walk and a chemist and coffee stop. We arrived at our accommodation at South West Rocks around lunchtime and quickly set up. There is a heated pool here so we might be tempted to go for a swim. We went for a drive into town as Rob wanted to check out the golf course and I wanted to look at possible launching places for the kayak. The manager of the park suggested I would be able to kayak out to the mouth of Back Creek to see the magnificent Back Beach. Back Creek is adjacent to the caravan park and I could do this if the tides were good. Not far from the town there is also the Macleay River which would be another good place to kayak in. Rob is hoping to play a round of golf tomorrow.
