It was a beautiful day for travelling and the drive to Canberra was delightful. We passed through many interesting and historical towns as well as enjoying the various farms and beautiful canola fields, rolling green hills and rivers and creeks. I spent quite a bit of time noting down the many places that we could visit in the future. We stopped at the lovely little town of Canowindra for coffee and had lovely memories of staying this town two years ago. We arrived in Canberra around lunchtime and quickly set up. We are staying in a beautiful new caravan park and the facilities here are amazing. We drove into the centre of Canberra, then on to a spot overlooking Lake Burley Griffin. From here we drove up to the top of Black Mountain expecting some good views but unfortunately the vegetation prevented this.
