As Rob was going to play golf today, he wanted a reasonably early start. We headed out just before 8.30am to the golf course. On the drive into Gin Gin, we saw that a large B-double truck had driven off the highway and ended up on its side down a slight bank. The truck had police tape all around it and the accident must have occurred last night as it wasn’t there yesterday. Surprisingly, the golf club was busy and after dropping Rob off, I drove to the interesting Gin Gin Cemetery. I enjoyed wandering through this cemetery as it was the perfect size (not too big) and easy to find the older, more interesting headstones. It was located on a slight rise and overlooked a crop and cane agriculture area. I then drove into town, parked and dropped some scripts off at the pharmacy before heading to a favourite cafĂ© for a coffee. We have driven through Gin Gin on at least two previous occasions and have stopped here for coffee. It is still very quaint and popular and the coffee is great! Rob called me during my break to say that he had nearly finished his round of golf, so I headed out to collect him. We returned to the main street of Gin Gin and visited the Gallery and shop, located in the old courthouse. Rob was keen to visit the famous bakery so we headed there for lunch. On our return journey to Lake Monduran, heavy towing machinery and recovery vehicles were now at the scene of the truck accident. The road in this area was restricted to one lane and when it was our turn to drive through Rob notice that they were unloading the trailers of the truck and it looked like it may have been carrying beer.
